Prenatal Screener
What is Prenatal Screener?
Mediscale Prenatal Screener is an evidence-based decision supporting system that provides quick and comprehensive multi-factor patient-data analysis. It presents the OB/GYN practitioner with real-time risk assessments, in-depth actionable recommendations, and clear follow-up suggestions.
Prenatal Screener uses routine tests performed during the pregnancy to provide the OB/GYN with a full analysis of genetic, chromosomal, neurological, and developmental fetal anomalies.
Mediscale Prenatal Screener operates according to a versatile, multidisciplinary model that is being constantly updated with the latest relevant medical research. Prenatal Screener’s vast knowledge‐base is designed to take hundreds of the patient’s data markers and cross-reference them with thousands of rules and tens of thousands of permutations, all in real-time. The analyzed data is displayed verbally and visually for fast and easy interpretation by physicians.
Mediscale Prenatal Screener is designed to fit perfectly into an organization’s information systems, by communicating with existing EMR systems and retrieving relevant patients’ information.
How does it work?
Mediscale Prenatal Screener is designed to help you arrive at the same decision you would make if you had unlimited time and a full command of the best obstetrics and prenatal screening literature.
- Collect. All the relevant data is collected from any data source. If you have an electronic medical record, Prenatal can access that data. Otherwise simply place any available information in the form provided.
- Analyze. The data that you enter will be rigorously analyzed and cross referenced with thousands of well-established rules from the medical literature. These rules have been assembled from the sum total of published prenatal screening knowledge as determined by our advisory board and top basic and clinical scientists. All that you will see, however, is a rotating icon for a split second.
- Report. Mediscale’s Prenatal returns a thorough, detailed report on the patient’s current condition, the status of the infant, and risks of various genetic and congenital illnesses. The report includes only the things that matter—the system displays the risk of diseases that should be of concern, recommends follow up tests to clarify gaps in data and suggests specialist consultations.
Mediscale is proud to offer this clinical decision supporting system to a limited number of practicing physicians through its Prenatal Screener Evaluation program. If you would like to participate, please fill out a brief registration.
